ST. CHARLES, Mo. – 1st Financial FCU, one-time credit union for McDonnell Douglas aircraft, said yesterday it promoted Frank Nelson, its president and chief operating officer, to be CEO of the $220 million credit union.
Nelson, who has been president since last September, worked seven years as an executive with Community America CU. He broke into the business as an examiner for NCUA, where he worked for three years.
1st Financial serves 30,000 members through branches in Wentzville, St. Charles, Hazelwood and downtown St. Louis.
