1st Mississippi FCU in Meridian, Miss., has adopted Sharetec as its new core system to assist with fulfilling certain strategic goals.
The $50 million-asset credit union said in a statement that it was looking for a new core to help develop a "more robust self-service channel" for its 9,000 members. The credit union also needs back office tools, such as custom reporting and dashboards, to evaluate data more quickly and adjust to the changing needs.
"Our credit union is focused on improving internal efficiencies while also providing our members the best tools to meet their self-service needs, and Sharetec was the clear choice," Frank Besecke, president of 1st Mississippi FCU, said the release. "Between the technology combined, excellent support, and forward thinking development, our decision was clear. We know we are moving to a great core system and company."
The Lino Lakes, Minn.-based Sharetec services nearly 300 credit unions nationwide.
