AUSTIN, Texas – A+ FCU said it awarded almost $40,000 in educational grants to 40 teachers.

The funds will help recipients cover the cost of programs and training, from eclectic projects such as dyslexia support in the classroom, recycling clubs, and iPod tutorials.
The funds were awarded through the credit union’s non-profit foundation, known as the A+ Education Foundation, which provides grants to full-time Pre-K-12 educators in reaching their educational goals. Since its 2005 inception, the Foundation has given over $121,000 in grants.
