Miller has served a number of roles in the CU community, and has 25 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry. He currently is president and CEO of Palmetto Cooperative Services LLC, a financial services firm that supports credit unions in the United States and Canada.
He also has been president/CEO of Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union, executive director of the Association of Corporate Credit Unions, and vice president of corporate relations for CUNA.
The AACUL said Miller's selection caps an "extensive" national search that attracted a "strong and diverse slate of candidates for this key role." AACUL is comprised of state credit union leagues that are members of CUNA. The organization's stated purpose is to create an environment that cultivates the success of the leagues, both individually and collectively, and strengthens their vital role of protecting and fostering the credit union system.
"We are very excited to bring Brad on as our new executive director," Mark Cummins, AACUL chair and president/CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network, said in a statement. "His experience working with the leagues and his broad understanding of the issues they face create a strong foundation that he can leverage to immediately begin guiding this organization forward."
Nussle, who also is an ex-officio member of the AACUL board, said: "Brad arrives to the CUNA/league system at an exciting time. Interdependence between CUNA and the leagues remains critical to the continued success of the movement, and AACUL will play a central role in further strengthening those ties. Brad's experience demonstrates that he can effectively lead the organization's continued efforts in this regard."
