MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Advantis CU is providing $51,500 in community grants to eight local non-profits as part of its GROW: The Advantis Community Fund.

The winners are: CARES Northwest, which helps at-risk families ($3,741); CASA for Children ($6,300); Central City Concern ($5,000); Exceed Enterprises ($10,000); Northwest Housing Alternatives ($5,000); Oregon Humane Society ($5,000); Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division ($7,500) and SnowCap Community Charities ($9,000).
The $815-million credit union says the aim of the program is to facilitate the enhancement and improvement of life in local communities one project at a time.
