HONOLULU – Aloha Pacific FCU said it will acquire tiny First Insurance FCU, its second merger since December.
First Insurance has less than $2.5 million in assets and fewer than 500 members and has reported losses for six straight quarters.
Aloha Pacific, known until 2007 as Honolulu City & County Employees FCU, acquired Inter-Island FCU last December. After the merger Aloha Pacific will have $580 million in assets and 31,000 members.
