JACKSON, Mich. – American 1 FCU has agreed to pay $112,500 over the next 10 years to lend its name to and sponsor the Jackson County Fair Events Center.
The county Board of Commissioners approved a contract for the sponsorship Friday. The money will help pay for general operations and maintenance for the fairgrounds.
Under the sponsorship deal, American 1 will pay annual installments of $10,000 for the first five years and $12,500 for the last five years of the sponsorship, which will change the name of the nearly 14,000 square-foot center until 2018.
In addition to new signage on the building that will be renamed the American 1 Events Center, the credit union will provide a no-surcharge ATM at the center.
The $150 million credit union also provided a financial assist to the county’s Rose Festival when it agreed to pay $60,000 to sponsor the Rose Parade for five years.
