CUMBERLAND, Penn. – AmeriChoice FCU opened its latest student-run branch Friday in the Cumberland Valley School District.
The student branch is operated by Cumberland Valley students in a business entrepreneurial class, with a credit union staff member on site to oversee the operations. It will provide students with the opportunity to learn financial literacy skills through both classroom lessons and hands-on experiences.
Cumberland Valley students applied for the various positions within the credit union. It is a fully functioning branch open to members of the public.
East Pennsboro Area High School, Cedar Cliff High School and Central Pennsylvania College also have student-run AmeriChoice branches on their campuses.
