DANA POINT, Calif. – The fifth annual California and Nevada Credit Unions For Kids Wine Auction raised a new high of $200,000 for the 11 Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals in the two states.
Auction attendees had the opportunity to bid on a variety of items, including more than 375 bottles of wine, travel packages, a pair of his and her scooters, a weekend sailing yacht adventure, and a fireboat/firehouse tour. The event’s festivities included a live performance by the dance band Haute Chile, who has performed at the event for three consecutive years.
Corporate sponsors were: the California/Nevada CU Leagues; CUDL; Financial Service Centers Cooperative; CUNA Mutual Group; and CO-OP Financial Services. Credit union sponsors were SchoolsFirst FCU and Xceed Financial CU.
All of the money raised will benefit Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland, Children’s Hospital Central California, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, Children’s Hospital Orange County, Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, Renown Regional Medical Center, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, St. Rose Dominican Hospital, and UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
