FAIRFAX, Va. – 2009—After five weeks and 21 drop-off locations across four counties, Apple FCU’s Stuff the Bus rolled to a stop last week with supplies for hundreds of students as they prepare for today’s opening day of school.
Along for the ride were numerous Apple members and employees, as well as some civic-minded local businesses and organizations, who brought with them hundreds of new, originally packaged back-to-school basics for students in need in Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford counties.
Corporate partners/sponsors of the credit union’s second annual school supplies drive also included: a local CiCi's Pizza, Costco of Fredericksburg, Jackie's Teacher Store, Stafford Printing, Wegmans , Staples of Stafford and Storage 2000 Aquia.
Apple FCU was originally Fairfax County School Employees FCU.
