LOVES PARK, Ill. — Police are still searching for an armed robber who discharged his weapon inside the main office of Rockford Bell Credit Union Thursday before fleeing from the CU with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect, a black male in a jean jacket, entered the branch at 10:30 a.m. and fired a shot into the ceiling before tellers handed the man money. No injuries were reported.
About a dozen squad cars and a canine unit responded to the call. The suspect was last seen driving a red, four-door Chevy Impala with Nebraska plates.
