Bannan Honored With Creation of Scholarship

To honor the memory of California Credit Union League Vice President Kim Bannan, the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation has established the Kim Bannan Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist credit union professionals in pursuing educational opportunities to further their careers. The California Credit Union League has contributed $10,000 to the fund, and additional contributions are being received. Bannan died of complications from a heart attack. "Kim was a dedicated credit union professional who believed in the value of education in her own life and career, and who devoted much of her energy toward making education and other opportunities for professional development more available to everyone in the credit union movement, from volunteers to upper management," said Richard M. Johnson, the Foundation board member after whom the foundation is named.

Contributions to the Kim Bannan Memorial Scholarship Fund can be made to the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation, 9500 Cleveland Ave., Suite 200, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.

More information about the fund is available at the Foundation's web site at www.rmjfoundation.org.
