BROCKTON, Mass. Crescent CU, this city’s second-largest credit union, has agreed to merge Brockton Postal Employees CU, a one-time $13-million credit union with four straight years of losses.
The smaller credit union was chartered in 1923. It reported a $117,000 loss for 2012 and $114,000 for 2011. It has a single branch inside the Liberty St. Post Office.
Brockton Postal primarily serves current and retired employees of the U.S. Postal Service and government employees.
