CHARLEVOIX, Mich. – Bay Winds FCU paid its members a $500,000 bonus at the end of 2011.

“Bad economy and all, we’re proud to be in a position, for the third time in six years, to reward our member-owners with this bonus dividend as an appreciation of their business and loyalty,” said David Leusink, president of the $133-million credit union.
The bonus dividend was based on dividends earned on qualifying share accounts and/or interest paid on applicable loans.
The credit union serves members in Charlevoix, Emmet, Antrim, Cheboygan and Grand Traverse counties.
