SEATTLE – BECU will be giving away life jackets to the first 300 kids to visit its Life Jacket Giveaway Booth at the Lake Union Boats Afloat Show.

The credit union also is giving away water safety publications by Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center, as part of the water safety promotion. “Research tells us that many kids are still not wearing life jackets on a regular basis,” said Bonnie Bergquist, manager of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association. “It’s important to have fun, but equally important to be smart on the water.”
The show runs Wednesday to Sunday at South Lake Union.
