PORTLAND, Ore. – A heavyset man with a protruding belly who robbed Rivermark CU here Friday morning is believed to be the same assailant who held up at least two other area credit unions since May, authorities said.

The suspect is being called the “Beer Belly Bandit” because of his image on surveillance videos, according to the FBI.
There were eight employees and two members in the credit union when the robber, who has a dark complexion and is either a Pacific Islander or Hispanic, walked into the branch.
