DENVER – Bellco CU has extended its contract with local marketing company GroundFloor Media to provide the $2-billion credit union with comprehensive media support.
GroundFloor Media has delivered a combination of strategy planning, message development, media relations/training, event promotions, community outreach, social media and issues management support to Bellco for the past four years.
In 2012, the agency will continue these efforts with a strong focus on event promotions and community outreach, including two milestone charitable programs with Food Bank of the Rockies and LiveWell Colorado, to celebrate Bellco’s longstanding history in Colorado.
On March 1, GroundFloor Media said it worked hand-in-hand with Bellco to announce the launch of a new charitable program with Food Bank of the Rockies. Bellco contributed $100,000 to Food Bank of the Rockies to fund the purchase of two produce dehydration units – making Food Bank of the Rockies one of only six Feeding America sites in the country to offer a food dehydration program. The announcement was coupled with the launch of a community microsite, BellcoGivesBack.org, as well as a two-month long food drive at each of Bellco’s 15 branch locations.
Bellco has planned a community partnership with LiveWell Colorado to promote financial fitness and personal wellness for Colorado residents. It said the program will leverage Bellco’s branch openings and community sponsorships of events, such as the Bellco Colfax 5K and Cherry Creek Arts Festival, to provide LiveWell Colorado with an expanded platform for community outreach. As part of the effort, Bellco and its partner, local auto retailer Automotive Avenues, provided a branded “Get Moving Mobile” vehicle to travel from various branch and event locations to promote LiveWell Colorado’s healthy lifestyle message.
Bellco has paired this effort with a new Visa credit card that rewards members for their active Colorado lifestyle by offering credit card bonus points on Colorado lifestyle purchases.
