Big Branch To Serve Mayo Clinic’s CU

ROCHESTER, Minn. – More than four years after the plans were announced, Mayo Employees CU is preparing to build a new, 6,000-square-foot branch in southeast Rochester.

The project that was first proposed in 2007 when the Target store was still under construction and Shoppes on Maine was still new.

The $500 million credit union bought the land to build the branch for $1.45 million in March 2007. This will be the credit union’s sixth Rochester branch. It also has one branch on each of the Mayo Clinic’s Florida and Arizona campuses.

Officials with the Mayo Clinic said the branch is expected to be completed and open by spring 2011.
