AMES, Iowa – A former branch manager for River Valley CU last week was arrested and charged with stealing more than $10,000 from the credit union’s branch in Maxwell, Nev., where she worked.

Rebecca Ann Dirks, 45, was charged with first-degree theft for allegedly taking more than $10,000 from the credit union between June 1 and Aug. 13, 2009.
Nevada police served an arrest warrant on Dirks. She appeared in court April 8, waiving a preliminary hearing.
