Brooks Retires As CEO Of Penn's SPE FCU

STATE COLLEGE, Penn. — SPE FCU announced the retirement of Russell Brooks, chief executive officer of the $78 million credit union for 10 years, effective Oct. 31.

He is being succeeded by Michael Meier, chief financial officer at SPE who has worked at the CU since 1995. Meier started his career at United Federal Savings Bank and has a bachelor's degree in finance from Penn State University.

Under Brooks' leadership, SPE FCU has grown to serve Centre and Huntingdon counties and now has more than 11,000 members.
