GLENDALE, Calif. -- California Credit Union has formed a title insurance company to handle both residential and commercial title needs.
California Members Title Insurance has received state certification from the California Department of Insurance, according to a Wednesday news release. The new company hired Frank Berriz, co-founder of American Coast Title, to be its president and chief executive.
California Members Title Insurance will serve not only credit unions, but also mortgage bankers and institutional lenders in the state, according to the release.
California Members Title Insurance is structured as a credit union service organization.
