California Raises Assessments 9% For State Chartered CUs

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Department of Financial Institutions said Friday it raised the annual assessments on some 200 state chartered credit unions by 8.6%, to 75 cents per $1,000 of assets.

Invoices were mailed to each state chartered credit union on June 30, and must be paid by July 20.

The assessment for state chartered banks is $1.33 per $1,000 of assets, a decrease of 5.6% from last year’s $1.41 rate.
