DEL MAR, Calif. – So you think your family chili recipe is pretty special? Time to prove it at the 2016 XDI Credit Union Chili Challenge.
The annual event is hosted by San Diego-based Xpress Data, Inc., (XDI), a provider of print and electronic document services for credit unions across the country. This year will mark the 4th annual challenge, which will take place Aug. 6 at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club race track, here.
The 2015 version of the Challenge saw 14 teams representing 11 credit unions, including CU's such as SchoolsFirst, Pacific Marine, OE and more.
According to XDI, each "Chili Team" will be competing for trophies, bragging rights and $10,000 in prize money that will be donated to charities chosen by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners.
The winning team will qualify to compete in the Homestyle Division of the 50th Annual International Chili Society World's Championship Chili Cook-Off in October.
