SEATTLE – Police are searching for a man who they call the “Candy Man Bandit” because he was seen eating a lollipop and chewing gum during his robberies of as many as four local credit unions and banks over a week.

He is believed responsible for hold-ups at: Qualstar CU on May 19, former credit union Rainier Pacific Bank on May 27, US Bank on May 17 and Wells Fargo on May 14.
The man presented a handwritten note to a teller demanding money in each robbery. No weapon has been displayed during any of the four incidents, although the bandit implied he had one in the first robbery.
