CapCom FCU Pledges $100,000 To Nursing School

TROY, N.Y. – Capital Communications FCU said its CAP COM Cares Foundation will donate $100,000 to Hudson Valley Community College to expand its nursing program.

The bulk of the money, $85,000, will help the school hire additional faculty and implement new programs. The other $15,000 will go toward a scholarship for students in the college’s Allied Health programs.

In honor of the gift, Room 249 of the Fitzgibbons Health Technologies Center will be named the Capital Communications Federal Credit Union Patient Laboratory.

CAP COM has been a leadership donor to the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation, and has donated a total of $109,000 to the foundation since 2004. The Foundation has donated approximately $1.7 million to community programs and organizations since it was established in 2003.
