MENTOR, Ohio – Cardinal Community CU announced yesterday it hired Christine Blake, a senior manager at accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, as president and CEO of the $150 million credit union.
Blake consulted for various industries and specialized in financial institutions. Her consulting experience included audit services, mortgage banking, merger and acquisition assistance, reengineering services, project management, and compliance. She also worked at KPMG in nearby Cleveland.
Cardinal Community serves 18,000 members in Lake, Cuyahoga, Ashtabula and Geauga counties and operates branches in Mentor, Willoughby, Richmond Heights and Ashtabula.
