CHARLOTTE, N.C. Carolina Postal CU said Tom Puckett, its chairman emeritus and its first employee who originally operated the credit union out of the top drawer of his post office desk, died April 25 at 91.
In addition to operating the credit union in its initial years, Puckett later served as chairman of the board from 1984 to 1997, when he helped build it to $40 million in assets. Carolina Postal now has $80 million in assets.
