GREENSBORO, N.C. - (12/02/05) -- The Carolinas CU Foundationannounced Thursday it has awarded a $10,000 grant to ProvidenceHome, a local shelter for teens, as part of a new program to fundcommunity grants in North Carolina and South Carolina. The initialgrant will help fund repairs and reopen the shelter, which wasdamaged by Hurricane Ophelia earlier this year. The new communitygrants program comes as the credit union charity completes athree-year fundraising drive for Victory Junction Camp, whichraised $1.5 million for the camp for children with seriousillnesses.
