CFCU Community CU’s Robert Witty Ends 42 Years At New York CU

ITHACA, N.Y. – CFCU Community FCU said Robert Witty, president of the $700 million credit union, will retire at year end after 42 years with the credit union.

Witty started work there as an assistant manager in 1969 when the operation had one office, six employees and $3 million in assets.

When he became its president 15 years later, CFCU had grown to $39 million in assets with 16,000 members. Under his leadership, CFCU has grown to $700 million in assets in 2010, 150 employees and nearly 60,000 members.

CFCU's board of directors has formed a search committee to find his replacement.
