GROTON, Conn. – Almost 2,600 members of Charter Oak FCU had a nice surprise last week when they received $100 checks under the credit union’s multi-service Gold Rewards program.
To qualify for an award, members who pay an initial $5 fee to join Charter Oak, must have a checking account, place at least $1,500 into the account monthly through direct deposit or pay a minimum of four bills online, and have a total of at least $20,000 in loans and deposits through the credit union.
Accounts are reviewed monthly to determine if a member qualifies – 3,440 members so far this month have. Anyone from today forward who adheres to the criteria over a consecutive 12-month period will receive a $100 check.
