GROTON, Conn. – Charter Oak FCU said yesterday it has sold its insurance agency CUSO to Smith Brothers Insurance of nearby Glastonbury.
Smith Bros. will continue providing personal and business insurance and risk management services to Charter Oak insurance agency's 50,000 customers. The agency, known as Charter Oak – The Insurance Professionals, will keep its offices at two Groton branches of the $600 million credit union.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
