BROOKINGS, Ore. – The Brookings Police Department was hailing the purchase of six new cruisers last week, with the help of Chetco FCU.

The cost for the six cars was $175,000, which the city financed through the credit union with a 2% five-year loan.
This allowed the city to purchase the Dodge Chargers all at once without going over its $38,000-a-year vehicle budget.
“I want to thank Stan Baron with CFCU,” said Police Chief Chris Wallace. “This wouldn't have been possible without the 2% interest rate.”
