Chief Lobbyist To Succeed Tom Gaines As Tennessee League CEO

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Tennessee CU League announced this morning that Fred Robinson, its chief lobbyist, will succeed Tom Gaines as president and CEO.

Robinson has been with the league since 1983 and currently serves as vice president governmental affairs. He serves as a credit union lobbyist in the state legislature and helps coordinate contact with Tennessee's Members of Congress. He also provides professional consultation and assistance primarily to larger credit unions in helping them meet their stated goals and objectives.

Gaines has been CEO of the league since 1988 and before that was president of the private deposit insurer Mutual Guaranty Corporation, also headquartered in Chattanooga.
