Chip Filson Steps Aside At Callahan & Associates

WASHINGTON – Chip Filson, the well-known owner and founder of Callahan & Associates, is stepping aside from the day-to-day operations at the credit union consultancy and will become chairman to focus on an expanding role as an advocate for credit unions.

Bruce Mancinelli, who has been CEO of several high-technology companies over a 40-year period and who serves on the board of DigitalMailer, Inc., a Herndon-based CUSO, was named interim CEO and will be in charge of internal operations for the 35-person Callahan company.

The realignment will allow Filson to focus on the company’s external initiatives, including multiple opportunities for credit union cooperative reforms, as Filson has expanded his role in recent years advocating for the corporate credit union system and other credit union issues.

Filson founded Callahans in 1985 with former NCUA Chairman Ed Callahan.
