CO-OP Financial Tests Next Generation ATM

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- Live testing of CO-OP NextGen ATMS, which will allow all shared branching customers to conduct all of the same transactions at a Diebold machine, is underway at CO-OP’s headquarters lobby, the credit union-owned cooperative announced this morning.

CO-OP, which is completing the acquisition of the Financial Service Centers Cooperative shared branching network, is partnering with Diebold on the development of the new application software.

CO-OP Financial Services is the first payment processor to offer this solution to credit unions using existing terminals and infrastructure, therefore, allowing an institution to better leverage their initial ATM investment. CO-OP NextGen ATM will enable members to conveniently conduct most transactions on their own, freeing in-branch staff to concentrate on more complex revenue activities. CO-OP NextGen ATM is anticipated to complete internal beta testing in early April.

CO-OP NextGen ATM will work with all shared branching platforms within the CO-OP Shared Branching family, with no conversions necessary.

General availability of the technology is expected in the second quarter.
