CO-OP Sets Record in 2015 with Transactions Processed

CO-OP Financial Services processed more than 3.2 billion electronic-funds transfer and shared-branch transactions in 2015, a 6.6% increase over the previous year.

The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., credit union service organization set a record with the number of transactions processed for credit union members, according to a Tuesday news release.

CO-OP hit an all-time peak for the number of transactions processed within an hour — about 1.02 million — on June 30.

CO-OP Financial Services is the largest CUSO, in terms of number of credit unions, assets and members, with more than 3,500 member credit unions. Stan Hollen, chief-executive of CO-OP Financial Services, announced this month that he plans to retire on May 31.
