Colorado CUL Restructures, Lays Off Some Employees

The Colorado Credit Union League is reorganizing a number of its business units, including its service corporation, Colleague, and the CU Service Network (CUSN), and will likely be eliminating some jobs.

The biggest changes involve its card service operation, which the league said it may eliminate, and one of CUSN's 87 shared branch outlets, which will likely be transferred to a credit union. In all, 11 jobs in card services, five jobs at the branch, and four more within the league's mortgages, accounting, auditing and information technology departments may be eliminated, according to league CEO John Dill, who said the league has spent the past few months reexamining its strategic plan.

Dill said any actual decisions are likely still weeks away, but the league wanted to give affected employees plenty of notice. Dill said that severance packages and other assistance will be provided for the staff who are effected.
