VANCOUVER, Wash. – Columbia CU is scheduled to open its second environmentally friendly branch here today using a new prototype design that features sustainable building standards.

As with the “Green Branch” opened in April in Washougal, the $1.1 million building includes sustainable design features such as a high-efficiency HVAC system, rainwater recycling to serve plumbing and irrigation needs, and 100% corn-based fiber on workstation panels.
The 3,950-square-foot office in the Grand Central retail complex will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
