ROCKFORD, Ill.-Heritage Credit Union collected food for Christ the Carpenter Food Pantry, and eye glasses for Lenscrafters Gift of Sight program.

In additional news, the credit union raised more than $400 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Arizona CUs Play Ball For CMN

PHOENIX, Ariz.-Twenty-five teams representing 17 credit unions and the Arizona CU League played in a softball tournament and raised more than $6,000 for the Children's Miracle Network to benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center.

PSFCU Donates To Polish Study

New York, N.Y.-Polish & Slovic Federal Credit Union donated $20,000 for the creation of a Polish studies program for Columbia University.

The credit union also opened it 9th branch in Copiague, Long Island.

CHULA VISTA, Calif.-Financial 21 Community Credit Union hosted a Missing Children's Awareness booth at the Bonitafest street fair.

SFFCU Collects Children's Books

SAN FRANCISCO-San Francisco Federal Credit Union sponsored a children's book drive and collected 1,258 books for children in homeless shelters, foster care, and after-school programs.

In additional news, the credit union hosted a blanket to benefit the homeless.

Credit unions represented included: 1st Choice FCU, CDC FCU, Delta Employees CU, Georgia FCU, Human Services Employees CU, Phenix FCU, Pinnacle CU, and employees from Georgia Credit Union Affiliates.
