Connecticut’s Connex CU Promotes CFO To Corner Office

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Connex CU, the one-time telephone workers credit union, named Frank Mancini, its chief financial officer, as president and CEO of the $380 million credit union.

As CEO, Mancini is succeeding John Edwards, who is retiring after leading Connex for 34 years.

Mancini has been CFO of the one-time Southern New England telephone workers credit union since 2003, overseeing information services, operations and collections. He holds both a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced CEO Leadership Institute, as well as Darden School of Business’ CEO Institute. He has been a part of Connex CU’s executive team since 2003, serving as the chief financial officer, during which time he also oversaw information services, operations and collections. In his role as CFO, he has helped the credit union grow to its current asset size of $380 million.

Mancini began as president Thursday.
