Buckley, who will assist long-time Commissioner Harold Feeney, recently served as interim CEO of the $3 billion corporate, where he was hired as vice president for risk management in 2010. Buckley served as interim CEO at Corporate America after last November’s departure of Thomas Bonds until the hiring of Pete Pritts, former CEO at Arizona’s FirstCorp CU, to succeed Bonds.

Prior to going to work at Corporate America CU Buckley spent 25 years at NCUA in a variety of roles and was eventually field examiner for the corporates, including WesCorp FCU.

The Texas regulator, which oversees more than 150 state chartered credit unions, also hired Stacey McLarty, an enforcement attorney at the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles as its General Counsel.
