The landmark Lincoln Bank and office building of about 23,000 square feet has been empty since the bank was acquired earlier this year by First Merchants, which closed that operation and consolidated in another location. Part of the building will serve as the credit union’s eighth branch.

The $280 million credit union is based in a tech park next to the sprawling Crane Surface Warfare Center about 80 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
