More than 1,800 credit unions nationwide have helped to raise $100,000 to donate to the winner of the #VoteForMiracles campaign.
Participants in the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals event are asked during the voting process to choose their favorite hospital and credit union. The credit union that garners the most votes for the winning area hospital will be invited to take part in the check presentation at the conclusion of the campaign.
#VoteForMircales has surpassed 100,000 votes, according to a press release from Credit Union for Kids, a collaboration of nationwide credit unions that raise funds for local CMN Hospitals. The three hospitals battling for the top spot are Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Hurley Children's Hospital in Flint, Mich., and Mercy Children's Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. Dozens of other hospitals trail close behind in the race to secure one of the top five spots.
Credit Unions for Kids will providing the $100,000 donation on behalf of all credit unions, thanks to the organization's lead supporter CO-OP Financial Services. The top five vote-getters will win $50,000, $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
The campaign is designed to engage consumers and raise awareness of credit unions, which are the third largest corporate contributor to CMN Hospitals.

Individuals can cast their vote through Dec. 20 at
