WILKES-BARRE, Penn. – More than 700 children and their families participated in Cross Valley FCU’s Annual Youth Day Carnival, which included financial literacy activities.
“We feel it is so important to encourage healthy financial habits while children are young so they are able to enjoy a solid financial future. This allows them a fun way to gain valuable information,” said Len Shimko, president of Cross Valley.
The annual festival included a magic show, pony rides, carnival games, food, a children’s ID kit table sponsored by Liberty Mutual, local police and fire departments, and Magic 93’s Frankie Warren. Cross Valley’s mascot, Scottie Saver, also was on hand to join in the fun.
