WASHINGTON – Steve Delfin, executive director of the National CU Foundation since 2004, is leaving at year-end to take over as president/CEO of America’s Charities.
America’s Charities is a federation of 180 national and local non-profits that work with employers and employees to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their workplace charity donations using payroll deductions.
Delfin said he is most proud of the development of the REAL Solutions program during his term at the Foundation. The program, which develops programs aimed at the underserved, has reached more than 800 credit unions in 33 states.
Delfin oversaw the raising and distribution of more than $4 million for financial education programs such as PBS’ BizKid$ TV series, and the raising of another $4 million-plus for credit union disaster relief.
