DAVENPORT, Iowa - (07/27/04) -- Alcoa Employees and Community CreditUnions branch here was robbed by a man whom witnesses saidhad orange hair and a blue hooded sweatshirt. The amount of cashstolen was not disclosed. Police are investigating any link betweenthe AECCU robbery and that of a local bank that occurred just twodays earlier. In that robbery the robbers waved a gun at employees.There has been a string of 16 robberies in the Quad-Cities area inJune and July, according to police, with arrests made in two ofthose robberies.
