MISSOULA, Mon. – A 24-year-old man who was shot in the face during a gunfight with police after he robbed Missoula FCU pleaded guilty to armed robbery.
Peter Thompson, who fired a shot into the ceiling during the hold-up, made off with more than $11,000 during the Jan. 12 heist.
A deputy pursued Thompson and forced Thompson’s truck off the road. When the robber fired a shot the deputy returned fire and Thompson was shot in the face.
