MADISON, Wis. — The CUNA Lending Council has a simple question for CUs: Is your credit union's loan portfolio growing?
The Lending Council released its latest white paper, titled, "Smart Strategies for Growing Loan Portfolios," saying the white paper examines what a healthy credit union loan portfolio should look like in 2015.
In addition, the council said the white paper shares tips and trends from lending executives — representing credit unions from a variety of sizes and geographic regions — pertaining to keeping current borrowers and attracting new ones.
The Lending Council noted the new white paper suggests ways to "work smarter rather than harder" to procure and maintain a healthy portfolio, including:
