SAN ANTONIO -
Digital Employees FCU is getting ready to roll out a new member business loan data processing system it helped develop.
The $4-billion credit union developed the commercial loan system in conjunction with XP Systems and nine other credit unions with MBL programs. DCU plans to go live with the new system on Dec. 1.
XP Systems is a subsidiary of Fiserv.
DCU currently manages its $280 million MBL portfolio with its own in-house system, according to Stephen Mackowitz, vice president commercial lending for the Mar borough, Mass., based credit union. "I keep track of my construction loans on a piece of paper with an Excel spreadsheet," he commented during the CUNA Lending Council conference. (c) 2007 The Credit Union Journal and SourceMedia, Inc.
