ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The FBI is teaming up with area banks and credit unions to catch a serial robber, the Missouri CU Association said.
The St. Joseph Chapter of Credit Unions and a local bankers’ group have donated a cash reward in hope of generating leads in the investigation into a series of robberies believed to have been perpetrated by the same person.
The league said the FBI believes the recent robberies at Goetz CU, Postal & Community CU, Nodaway Valley Bank and Goppert Financial Bank all were done by the same suspect. In the first few incidents, the suspect used a note demanding money, but in more recent cases he has displayed a gun during the crimes.
